Account Deletion
How to delete your KAINDIS account, and what happens to your data when you do.
Last updated: 16 July 2026
This page explains how to delete your KAINDIS account and the personal data associated with it. It applies to the KAINDIS mobile app and to the KAINDIS web platform at kaindis.com. The app and platform are developed and operated by Kings AI Automation Pty Ltd (ACN 697 368 282, ABN 31 697 368 282), trading as KAINDIS. How we handle personal data more broadly is set out in our Privacy Policy.
1. Before you delete: download your data
You can download a copy of your data (your profile and the records you own) at any time before deleting your account. On the web, go to Dashboard → Settings → Account and choose Export my data — this downloads a JSON file. Once the grace period ends and your account is purged, this data can no longer be recovered.
2. Delete your account from within the app
- Mobile app: open Settings → Delete account. You will be asked to re-type your email address and password to confirm.
- Web: log in and go to Dashboard → Settings → Account, then choose Delete my account. You will be asked to re-type your email address and password to confirm.
As soon as the request is confirmed, your account is deactivated and you are signed out of every device. Your data is then permanently deleted after the 14-day grace period described below.
3. Delete your account without logging in
If you no longer have access to the app, or prefer not to log in, email our Privacy Officer at kaindis@kai-auto.com from the email address registered to your account with the subject line "Account deletion request". We may ask a follow-up question to verify your identity. Verified requests are actioned within 30 days.
4. The 14-day grace period
Deletion is not instant, so an accidental or coerced request cannot destroy your data on the spot:
- Your account is deactivated immediately — no one can log in to it.
- Your data is permanently deleted 14 days after the request.
- You can cancel at any time within the 14 days. Immediately after confirming, the app offers Cancel deletion request on the confirmation screen. Because a deactivated account can no longer sign in, after that point cancellation is by email: write to kaindis@kai-auto.com from your account's email address and we will cancel the request and reactivate your account. After the 14 days the deletion cannot be reversed.
5. What is deleted
After the grace period, we permanently remove:
- Your name, email address, phone number and profile photo (replaced with a non-identifying placeholder).
- Your password and multi-factor authentication secrets.
- Your sessions, trusted devices and password-reset tokens.
- Any invitations you sent that were never accepted (these are revoked).
6. What is retained, and why
KAINDIS is used by registered NDIS providers, who are required by the NDIS Practice Standards and Australian law to keep records of the supports they deliver — generally for 7 years (see clause 8 of the Privacy Policy for the full retention schedule). For that reason, records you authored about NDIS participants — care notes, incident reports, bookings and audit logs — are retained in anonymised form: the records remain, but your identity as their author is removed and replaced with "Deleted User". Financial records are retained where tax and corporations law requires. We will tell you which categories of records are retained and why if you ask.
7. Organisation owners (directors)
A director cannot delete their own account through this flow, because every organisation must always have an owner. Directors should either transfer ownership to another director first, or terminate the entire organisation from Dashboard → Settings → Account on the web. When an organisation is terminated, its data is retained for 30 days to allow self-export and reactivation, then permanently deleted, except where a longer period of retention is required by law.
8. Questions and complaints
If you have questions about deletion, or believe a request has not been handled correctly, contact our Privacy Officer at kaindis@kai-auto.com. Complaint avenues, including the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, are listed in clause 12 of the Privacy Policy.
